Trust an important ingredient of a happy relationship
There’s an old but very true saying: “We choose our friends but not our families”.
Without trust there is nothing. How can you have a relationship with a person you can’t trust? Mostly, relationships which last long are ones which are based on trust, while relationships which lack trust mostly fail. This doesn’t apply only to romantic relationships, which strangely is often the terms in which people think of a relationship, but also to family members and friends.
Trust is a very fragile thing, and once it has been broken, there’s a chance it may never be fully repaired. You might be able to achieve a degree of trust again, but the cracks from the break will always be there, and it will take far less to not only break, but completely shatter trust a second time.
To have someone trust you is a gift, an honour. That another person has placed their trust in you, is something that you should always respect, and you should repay the trust given to you with honesty to the giver. This does not mean to say that you have to have relationships with people that you don’t want to just because they trust you. But it does mean you have a responsibility to them, to be honest and truthful, not lie to them, or deceive them in anyway.
Trust is the treasure of our daily lives. However, we do not understand its value.
Trust in each other gives strength and vitality to our relationships. It gives us inner happiness, which is priceless. When you trust each other you feel self-confident. Trusting each other gives us a sense of deep bonding. Trust is a synonym for warmth in our relationships.
Building up trust is not easy .A lot of conscious efforts has to be made in this direction. We need to nurture our relationships with care. We should not let our ego destroy our relationships. This requires making constant efforts to know each other fully. The more we explore each other the more we can handle each other’s contradictions well. After all most of the problems in relationships occur because we do not want to open up .As a result we tend to look at others with doubt and it will lead to destroying trust.
Mistrust is itself a reflection of our inadequacies and imperfections in handling our relationships with finesse.
However, people need to know it very clearly that it take long time to generate trust while it takes few seconds in breaking it. Therefore, it is very important to avoid any such mistakes which make trust weak. Without trust, a relationship cannot think of lasting long and mostly, these relationships have a bad ending soon. Therefore, now it depends on people that they want to make their relationship strong with trust or not.
