Everyone has dreams about marriage. All of us dream to own better life with colours of joy and happiness. But inmost cases, we may have to bear the pain of sad ending. Never care, many face it as another challenge in life. But the unfortunate fact of life is it is easy to get married, but not so easy to get divorce. In most cases, people avoid opting for divorce especially if there are children involved. If a divorce is a must fop the life to go ahead, then there are several things you can do to help make the divorce process as smooth as possible.
1. Always try to make the process of divorce as short as possible. The longer it goes on the better it becomes a hard task. Always look for early settlements. Look out for a better divorce lawyer.
2. Try to establish your financial independence as soon as possible. Put an end to the use of joint bank accounts and set up your own personal account. Cancel the joint credit cards as soon as possible.
3. Always keep the children fully informed as to what’s happening. Never use to access to your children as a way to punish your husband. Make sure he too doesn’t do the same.
4. Keep a record of all correspondence as courts believe written correspondence more than hearsay.
5. Always have a private mail box for all mails. Store all personal things in that.
6. Always accept the fact that you need emotional support and use friends and family at this time. Try t get friends who could help at any time.
7. Make sure of an open line of communication between you and your husband. Try to get a mutual settlement if possible.
8. Never share your relation with husband to anyone other than lawyer. This will reflect well on you in court.
9. Keep calm at the time. Never loose curb over emotions.
