Comments Let Divorce be the Last Resort
![]() |
Relationship lacking creativity and satisfaction generates contempt. The couples who are not satisfied of each other try to find ways to get rid of each other. Divorce becomes the verdict for such relationship. Why do divorce cases exist more than marriages? I would have to dedicate a single article to find out the reasons of increasing divorce cases. In this article, I would rather think in a different way- how to avoid a split? How to ensure that both of you are satisfied with each other and are well familiar with each other? Read on.
• Plan trips to come closer to your spouse: Take every activity as an opportunity to come closer to your spouse. Take her to your business trips. Plan frequent weekend getaways. Visit the places where both of you have never been to. Treasure hunts with your spouse like auctions, antique shops, garage sales, church rummage sales can help you come closer to each other.
• Plan with your spouse: Sit with your spouse at the beginning of each month and review your calendars. Plan your month’s appointments together. Your relationship commitments should never take a back seat. Hence, make all of your plans such that outings with your spouse are never delayed or missed.
• Go shopping with her: Exchanging gifts is always appreciated in a relationship. Go shopping together and find out something for her. She may also find something for you. Gift her favorite book or music CD. Have her to do the same for you. Apply the same concept to other specialty stores as well. Try to find out the “couples’s items” in the specialty stores. Matching bicycles, mobile phones, coffee mugs, rocking chairs can be really enjoyed together.
This way, you can save your marriage. Let divorce be the last resort, not the first one.
